Incredible and wonderful news for GICAM! Guido and the top management at Lamborghini have decided to build a unique, one-of-a-kind car and to donate it to Pope Francis, who has accepted. It is a white Lamborghini model with a white interior, featuring the Vatican logo. His Holiness has signed the car to make it even more unique and then this fantastic piece will be auctioned. All proceeds will go to charity. There will be four recipients of the funds raised, and one of them is GICAM!
This is a historical event, the like of which has never been seen in the history of the Vatican! We are delighted that our Association is able to both play a leading role and be a beneficiary, but it also makes us aware of our responsibility to ensure these funds are put to the best possible use, in accordance with our custom by statute. It goes without saying, therefore, that all the money donated to us will be used entirely to fund paediatric surgery missions and to increase our presence in the places where our work on reconstructing children’s hands is so necessary.
