GICAM’s first commitment in India began in 2016 and gained momentum in 2017-2018, in collaboration with the Freedom from Poverty foundation.
India is a country plagued with vast socio-economic inequalities that mirror as many inequalities in healthcare and access to medical services.
Only 10% of India’s population has some type of healthcare coverage (public or private).
About 85% of all patients are unfortunately children with serious deformations and burns in their hands and feet.
Our luggage is ever ready to take off and go and provide hope to women and children who are less fortunate.
